An efficient method for the numerical solution of Helmholtz type general two point boundary value problems in ODEs
In this article, we propose and analyze a computational method for numerical solution of general two point boundary value problems. Method is tested on problems to ensure the computational eciency. We have compared numerical results with results obtained by other method in literature. We conclude that propose method is computationally ecient and eective.
full textA Consistent and Accurate Numerical Method for Approximate Numerical Solution of Two Point Boundary Value Problems
In this article we have proposed an accurate finite difference method for approximate numerical solution of second order boundary value problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions. There are numerous numerical methods for solving these boundary value problems. Some these methods are more efficient and accurate than others with some advantages and disadvantages. The results in experiment on model...
full textB-SPLINE METHOD FOR TWO-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS
In this work the collocation method based on quartic B-spline is developed and applied to two-point boundary value problem in ordinary diferential equations. The error analysis and convergence of presented method is discussed. The method illustrated by two test examples which verify that the presented method is applicable and considerable accurate.
full textA Method for Numerical Solution of Two Point Boundary Value Problems with Mixed Boundary Conditions
In this article, we concerned with the development of a method for solving two point boundary value problems of ordinary differential equations. To develop method, we consider derivative of solution of a problem as an intermediate problem (IP). The analytical solution of the problem and IP were locally approximated by a nonlinear function with fixed step length. Some numerical experiments have ...
full textEfficient Global Methods for the Numerical Solution of Nonlinear Systems of Two Point Boundary Value Problems
In this paper we will be concerned with numerical methods for the solution of nonlinear systems of two point boundary value problems in ordinary differential equations. In particular we will consider the question “which codes are currently available for solving these problems and which of these codes might we consider as being state of the art”. In answering these questions we impose the restri...

y" = /(*, y) (0.1) 2/(0) a 2/(1) « b. The case where the first derivative does not enter explicitly into the differential equation is chosen for simplicity of treatment. The alternating corrections method can easily be modified to treat the more general case. The function f(x, y) is assumed to have continuous second derivatives, but the differential equation may, of course, be non-linear. The m...
